I had the pleasure of working on all three levels of this Victorian house located in downtown Toronto. For the exterior, I was able to restore a beautiful stained glass window and repair the bricks around the old windows. It provided a polished look to the whole house, and helps preserve the looks and charm of this Toronto neighbourhood.
I also selected and designed house wall insulation solutions providing fire and noise relief.
Inside, I was able to combine the charming elements already a part of the house with contemporary new additions. Exposed red brick turned into a feature spot beside the new glass wall. Oak wood floating stairs seamlessly blend the floors between levels.
The electrical plan included sophisticated layers of lighting solutions at every level and room. It also includes an in-ceiling sound system for entertainment as well as cutting-edge home climate and security systems. There are many elements of thoughtful design in this project: a dining area that looks out to the backyard of cheery trees, a gourmet kitchen with a long marble island, a cozy library and home office, and many more beautiful and functional vignettes through out the house. I was able to create a comfortable flow in this narrow and prolonged old house that brought satisfaction for the owners for many years.
